Brian Greekas – Bio

Brian is a third-generation restauranteur/chef from Edmonton.  Born into the family restaurant business, he started working at the age of fourteen.  Upon graduation from high school, Brian attended the Hotel and Restaurant Administration at S.A.I.T. in Calgary.

He managed the family restaurant business, a high-end seafood restaurant, the first of its kind in Edmonton. In those days, a restaurant manager not only had to run the front of the restaurant but also had to oversee the kitchen to be successful.

In the early 1980s, I went out on my own to establish my own seafood restaurant.  Following that, I owned and ran two additional restaurants.

In 2002, I relocated to the Okanagan valley where I acquired my realtor’s license.

I was moderately successful for eight years.  Due to the real estate crash of 2008, I returned to the food service and hospitality industry.  I worked at numerous food service jobs ranging from general manager to oil field service camp cook which has brought me to my retirement in January 2022.

Currently, he enjoys hosting wine tours in the summer months and cooking gourmet dinners for friends and family.  This allows him time to enjoy his garden, the Okanagan Valley and to follow his passion of cooking.
