Herringbone stitch, also called Ndebele, is a beautiful bead weaving stitch with a unique, tiled look. It can be made into a flat piece or tubular piece. The beads in this technique lie at an angle to each other and resemble the backbone of a fish. In this class, the student learns the basic stitch and then moves on to a more advanced version of the stitch.
Required Tools and Materials:
The instructor will provide all tools and materials. A variety of bead styles and colors will be available in class for students to choose from.
Note: In advanced Herringbone classes, students will learn to make a herringbone tubular piece that makes beautiful necklaces and bracelets, as well as other variations on this pattern.
